January 2001 started what should have been the end of a not so great photography career for Lee Heard. That freezing winter morning Lee headed north to the backwoods of North Georgia to photograph waterfalls. In his pursuit of the perfect shot, Lee was trying to cross a waterfall to get an angle no one else would be crazy enough to get. This ultimately led to Lee plunging down the 30 foot waterfall to the frigid pool at the bottom camera in hand. After finally making it ashore, Lee poured water out of the inside of his film camera and deduced the day of photography was essentially ruined. This was Lee's first day shooting photography. Instead of calling it quits, Lee personally decided that every day shooting photography since then had to be better than his first day.

After graduating High School, Lee went to school for photography with an emphasis on landscape photography. After graduating, Lee went onto broaden his photographic horizons into nearly every genre of photography. With the advent of DSLR cameras that also shoot 4k video, Lee incorporated videography into his repertoire. To round out his photographic toolkit, Lee added aerial photography/videography to his long list of tools in 2015. Since then he has grown Heard Media Group into a business employing a team of 4 photographers spread throughout North Georgia covering various sports, corporate, event, wedding, nautical, editorial, studio, school, real estate, and venue photography. Overtime Lee has grown the media companies toolkit to utilize only the latest and best in photography / videography equipment in addition to the talents to push this equipment to new an entirely new level. To this day we have not had 1 client that was anything less than thrilled by the amazing work Heard Media Group has produced.
